AI Notice
As of 26 October 2026
Reelfox creates videos with artificial intelligence (AI). On this page we explain what the AI does, how we label AI content, how we prevent misuse and where the limits are.
1. What the AI does
Your idea becomes a video in several steps:
- Direction: A language model writes the hook, script and scene plan.
- Images and clips: Image and video models generate images or short clips for each scene.
- Voice: A speech synthesis model speaks the script and provides timestamps for the captions.
- Music and sound effects: come from our own collection. They are not newly generated for each video. The tracks are public domain (CC0) or come from checked packs that allow use in your videos without attribution. They are not AI-generated.
- Assembly: Our own software assembles everything into a video according to the selected look: motion, captions, transitions, sound.
- Labelling: Every video receives an AI label (section 2).
Before rendering, you see the script and scene images in the storyboard and can change them.
The models we currently use are shown in the studio. Models may change. We do not use your inputs and videos to train AI models. The service providers involved and what they may do with data under their terms are listed in the list of processors.
2. Labelling of AI content
- Machine-readable: Every video file generated by Reelfox contains signed metadata according to the open C2PA standard stating that the content was generated with AI. Reelfox does not deliver any video without this label. This is how we meet our obligation as a provider under Art. 50(2) of the AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689). The metadata contains the title of the video, Reelfox as the generating software, the statement that images, voice and editing were generated with AI, and technical details of the signature. It does not contain account details such as your name or email address.
- Visible: You can switch on a visible "Made with AI" label in the video maker. Disclosure when publishing is your responsibility (section 3).
- Watermark: Videos made with free credits also carry a Reelfox watermark.
Platforms and some programs remove metadata when uploading or editing. A visible label you switched on remains.
3. Your obligation when publishing
Anyone who publishes an AI video that shows real persons, places, objects or events in a way that falsely appears authentic (a so-called deep fake) must disclose that it was generated or manipulated with AI (Art. 50(4) AI Act). For evidently artistic, satirical or fictional works, a notice that does not hamper the display is sufficient. This obligation lies with the person or company using the video, not with Reelfox.
TikTok, YouTube and Instagram also have their own rules on labelling AI content. Please observe them. Do not remove the AI label or the watermark.
4. Protection against misuse
- The AI models we use work with their providers' safety filters. The language model refuses requests that violate its provider's usage policies; creation then stops. The image and video models run with the safety filter switched on.
- In addition, we review created projects, also with the help of a list of search terms. A human decides whether a video is blocked or an account restricted.
- Prohibited content includes sexual content, the sexualisation or endangerment of minors, the depiction of real minors, real persons without their consent, hate, deception and third-party trademarks. Clearly fictional child characters in harmless contexts, for example in a fairy tale, are permitted. The full list is in § 10 of our Terms.
- We only create presenter videos with a person's photo if you first confirm that the person depicted has consented. We store this confirmation.
- The safety filters are not error-free. They may reject permissible inputs or miss violations. If you believe an input was rejected wrongly, write to us at hallo@reelfox.de.
5. Limits of AI
- Errors: Scripts may be factually wrong; numbers and names may be invented. Check statements before publishing a video, especially on health, money and law.
- Image errors: Hands, text in images, logos and faces may be distorted.
- Similarities: An output may coincidentally resemble a real person, a trademark or an existing work. Other users may receive similar outputs.
- Bias: AI models may reproduce stereotypes and bias.
- Rights: Under current German law, purely AI-generated content is generally not protected by copyright. We therefore cannot promise exclusive rights. Details in § 12 of the Terms.
6. Reporting
If you believe content generated with Reelfox is illegal, for example because it shows you without consent, please report it at reelfox.de/en/report or by email to hallo@reelfox.de. We review every report and inform you of our decision.
7. Examples on this website
All sample videos and sample images on this website were created with AI and are labelled as examples.
